I purchased my 1976 Mustang II in July 2000 from a family in Kansas. I
hauled the car back home to Georgia. The car came with a newly rebuilt 302 V8
engine and an automatic transmission. The car was originally a cream yellow
color with rallye wheels. The interior is all original except for the front seat
covers and the carpet.
I spent a year and a half driving the car and fixing any problems that arose.
During the first half of 2003 I set about working on the body. The only
rust, which was minor, was on the two rear quarter panels. New metal was welded
into place.
When it came time to paint the car I decided to go with Polar
White. I wasn't too crazy for the cream paint.
Then to top it off, I purchased
a nice set of American Racing 14" X 6" chrome wheels and new BF Goodwrench
195/70/14 white lettered tires. All new weatherstipping, seals, and gaskets
were installed after the paint job.
Overall, I am quite pleased with the car. In the future, I might put a
supercharger on it and get the windows tinted.
