 I bought this car in March 2001. I had been looking for a T-Top Mustang II with the Rallye Appearance Package since I saw one in an older Ford brochure. This car was actually for sale last year (2000) but I didn't get over to the seller fast enough and it was sold to a buyer from Grand Rapids, about a 2 hour drive from me. I found out who had bought the car and mentioned that if he ever wanted to sell it to let me know. He decided to sell it and we (my husband and I) drove halfway to pick the car up.
This Mustang II has all of the original Rallye Appearance package options installed in the car including the Black Vinyl with Gold cloth insert seats. The seats, which are almost impossible to find, also still have the gold piping around the edges. The engine is the V8 and it has a four-speed transmission, I prefer a manual to an automatic. I have changed the wheel rims to 14 inch chrome Cragars and low profile tires. They are different than the ones in the picture. The car's first show is coming up but it will be in the unrestored class since the engine comparment still needs a little work. The T-tops, which I had to have, are great in the summer for cruising around.
