I worked at a Ford Garage during High School and Mustang II years of 74 to 77 model years and remember the dealer prep mechanics drilling the antennia holes in the new cars. I suppose they may have had to drill them all, but am not sure. I still see the owner occasionally, and if I think of it, I'll ask him. As Phil said the antennia kits came with templates to locate them. I supposed it may have been a precaution in delivering the cars. --- PHIL L SCHMIDT wrote: > The original ford antenna kits include a template > for drilling locations of the factory antenna on the > fender.NOS ford fenders do not include a radio > antenna hole.Phil > Must II Spec Shop > ----- Original Message ----- > From: Timothy M. Now the only gear I have real trouble with traction in is first and the highway RPMs are down by 500. With my old 13s I was doing 3,000 RPM at 65mph which was not only irritating, but unnecesarry for a V8 and also ate up fuel at less than 14mpg. Now with 14s on the rear I do 2,500 RPM at 65mph and get a little over 17mpg - you know what the price of fuel is lately! II Fans, Guess I'm late on this, but I had my 4-speed completely rebuilt with all new gears for $400. I used the original case and it still pops out of second if I don't physically hold it in though. My approach to this whole thing is that it is nothing exotic. I have a 351W from a truck and a standard 4-speed. The goal is to have a first that you can use and have about 500 RPM between gears and a fourth of 1:1 - that is absolutely standard. Sometimes I believe that we can let a mechanic know we feel our vehicles are far more exotic than they are and the cash register starts ringing.
