Two of the tubes on the pass side slide independently down into the main header pack. To get the pass side in requires unbolting the motor mount on that side and jacking the motor up. The main header comes up from the bottom the two tubes down from the top. On the drivers side it drops down from the top after disconnecting the stearing shaft. The headers do not have flanges, which you indicate and are just straight tubee, which I think were intended for splicing into the stock H-pipe. Does this match the set your installing? I have the drivers side Hooker installed. The clearance on the header to clutch fork is about the same. If you want to see what a RAD transmission, go to your local Autozone store, pick up a Ford Mustang II Haynes manual and look at page 108. There is a exploded view of one. The transmission, bellhousing, clutch & pressure plate, and flywheel are unique to the Mustang II just as the oil pan is. The bellhousing rotates the starter down and the oil pan is configured for this. This gives more room for the exhaust on the passenger side. If you are running a different bellhousing, you will probably not have room for the headers to fit. ----- Original Message ----- From: Jason or Chris To: Sent: Tuesday, June 13, 2000 9:08 PM Subject: Re: what trany are you running with the headers? > How much clearance do you have around the clutch fork? > ----- Original Message ----- > From: Garold Gering > To: > Sent: Tuesday, June 13, 2000 9:00 PM > Subject: Re: what trany are you running with the headers? > > > > MIME-Version: 1.0 > > Content-Type: text/plain; > > charset="iso-8859-1" > > Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit > > X-Priority: 3 > > X-MSMail-Priority: Normal > > X-Mailer: Microsoft Outlook Express 5.00.2314.1300 > > X-MimeOLE: Produced By Microsoft MimeOLE V5.00.2314.1300 > > > > --- Sponsor's Message -------------------------------------- > > What kind of shoes do you want? It went in easier than the = Headman came out. The fit was good with the collector in the middle of = the hump on the trans. mount. The only problem I had was the fit of the = number 1 & 2 tubes in the header proper. Talk about tight fit, I could = not get them in far enough to bolt up to the head. I might suggest you = check the fit of the tubes before you install the header. By the way, I = installed these without any help so you can see how easy they were. ----- Original Message -----=20 From: Trent Glaser=20 To: mustangii@topica.com=20 Sent: Monday, June 12, 2000 9:32 AM Subject: Re: Headers --- Sponsor's Message -------------------------------------- What kind of shoes do you want?
